Ronald W. Teeple (retired)

Ron Teeple received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Before retiring, he was admitted to practice in Illinois (1967) and in numerous federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Ron is the author of “When, if Ever, Are Punitive Damages Receivable in an Illinois Contract Action” (Illinois Bar Journal, Vol. 65, No. 3, Nov. 1976) and “Keys to Controlling Outside Litigation Fees,” (CBA Record, Vol. 7, No. 6, September 1993). He has participated, at a client’s request, in litigation seminars for in-house counsel. Before retiring, he was AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer recognition for ethical standards and legal ability.

Ron retired from the practice of law at the end of 2014 and is no longer associated with Teeple Leonard & Erdman.
